If anyone had told me 14 years ago that I’d be a running coach, personal trainer, fitness instructor, yoga & meditation teacher, I would have looked at them as if they had 3 heads. Seriously? I was running a multi-million dollar company, chasing deals, managing staff, delivering the bottom line.

I was also one stressed-out, pudgy 40-something, totally focused on my work/my family, and totally NOT focused on my own health and wellness. Honestly, I tried to do things to get more fit, including joining gyms many times (and never going), trying to run on my own (and being so gassed after 3 minutes that I thought it impossible), going to fitness classes and feeling like a klutz at the back. And I got sick A LOT. Sound familiar to anyone?!

Thankfully, running was the catalyst that changed all that.

I’ve been a long distance running coach (Half Marathon) for 10 years coaching over 1,500 runners. I’ve been a personal trainer for 10 years working with everyone from 15 year old hockey super stars, to long distance runners with injuries up the wazoo, to women of all ages who (like me) know they need fitness but can’t figure it out, to cancer fighters and survivors, to senior men and women who need help with movement.

I’ve taught 1,000s of yoga classes to all levels. And what I’m most jazzed about: I’ve created an excellent Cross Train Runners program (wow, just did the math, over 5,000 classes, usually with 10 – 15 runners).

So what’s all this got to do with you?

I’ve decided to pool all this knowledge and experience with runners, training, nutrition, finding balance, and the mental game, into a one-month ‘share’, starting today with this blog! I’m so pumped to pull it all together in one place!

We’ll focus on what’s important to runners, and, how to get there. Namely, strength, speed, injury prevention, nutrition, balance, and achieving goals.

If you’re not a runner and you’ve read this far, thank you! Do you know of a runner who might benefit from this? Please share, and get them to sign up for the blog.

There’s a lot coming your way!

Sandy
